This Privacy Policy has been created to express our commitment to protect information provided by users. B-Tribe is aware of the current trend towards communications and distribution of information, and we have established protocols and security measures to keep your information protected from mischievous use, as far as reasonably possible.

The practices and policies described herein apply to all users of B-Tribe. Each time you visit the website and use any of our services you are, by doing so, accepting the practices and policies described below. You agree that by using the website and service of B-Tribe (together being the “website”) you are expressly and affirmatively consenting to our use of information that you have provided. B-Tribe will only use that information for the purpose of providing the services mentioned on the website, together with periodically providing you information on its products and services.

Collection of Personal Information

For the purpose of operating the website effectively and providing the services described in the same, B-Tribe may collect personal information from its users. Generally we will inform you of the use of the information and provide optional fields to information that is not mandatory by the system.

Distribution of Personal Information

The use of your information will be restricted to the provision of the services that are characterised on the website, unless you expressly consent otherwise. If there are legal requirements to access your personal data, you will be informed before the event is conducted.

All users should be aware that by voluntarily displaying personal information in the website (such as in a Forum), that information can be accessed by other users.

B-Tribe will only collect personal information from individuals by fair and lawful means which is necessary for its functions. B-Tribe will only collect sensitive information with the consent of the individual and if that information is reasonably necessary for the functions of the website.

The information requested from individuals will only be used to provide you with B-Tribe’s services, which may include providing you access to lessons, courses and content; obtaining feedback about content and services; advise you of upcoming events; administer and manage your profile, including billing and collecting debts; further develop and improve our business and systems; and inform you about new products and services that we may introduce from time to time. If an individual chooses not to provide certain information then B-Tribe may be unable to register that person as a user or member.

Your personal information will be held by B-Tribe for a period up to 30 years.

Disclosure of personal information

For the purposes set out above, we may disclose your personal information to the following organisations:

  • Service providers who assist with managing the services we provide to you including information technology, educational services, marketing and debt recovery.
  • Organisations involved in the transfer/sale of all or part of our assets or business.

B-Tribe will not disclose an individual’s personal information to another person or organisation unless:

  1. the individual concerned is reasonably likely to have been aware, or made aware that information of that kind is usually passed to that person or organisation;
  2. the individual concerned has given written consent to the disclosure;
  3. B-Tribe believes on reasonable grounds that the disclosure is necessary to prevent or lessen a serious and imminent threat to the life or health of the individual concerned or of another person;
  4. the disclosure is required or authorised by or under law; or
  5. the disclosure is reasonably necessary for the enforcement of the criminal law or of a law imposing a pecuniary penalty, or for the protection of the public revenue.

Where personal information is disclosed for the purposes of enforcement of the criminal law or of a law imposing a pecuniary penalty, or for the purpose of the protection of the public revenue, B-Tribe shall include in the record containing that information a note of the disclosure.

Any person or organisation that collects information on behalf of B-Tribe or to whom personal information is disclosed as described in this procedure will be required to not use or disclose the information for a purpose other than the purpose for which the information was collected by them or supplied to them.

Security and integrity of personal information

B-Tribe is committed to ensuring the confidentiality, security and integrity of the personal information it collects, uses and discloses.

B-Tribe will take all reasonable steps to ensure that any personal information collected is relevant to the purpose for which is was collected, is accurate, up to date and complete.

B-Tribe will store securely all records containing personal information and take all reasonable security measures to protect personal information it holds from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Where B-Tribe has no further use for personal information for any purpose disclosed, or is no longer required to maintain that personal information, all reasonable steps will be taken to destroy or de-identify the information.

Right to access and correct records

Individuals have the right to access or obtain a copy of the personal information that B-Tribe holds about them. Requests to access or obtain a copy of personal information must be made in writing. There is no charge for an individual to access personal information that B-Tribe holds about them; however B-Tribe may charge a fee to make a copy. Individuals will be advised of how they may access or obtain a copy of their personal information and any applicable fees within 10 days of receiving their written request.

If an individual considers their personal information to be incorrect, incomplete, out of date or misleading, they can request that the information be amended. Where a record is found to be inaccurate, a correction will be made as soon as practical. Where an individual requests that a record be amended because it is inaccurate but the record is found to be accurate, the details of the request for amendment will be noted on the record. There is no charge for making a request to correct personal information.

Complaints about an alleged breach of the APPs

Where an individual believes that B-Tribe has breached a Privacy Principle in relation to that individual they may lodge a complaint using B-Tribe’s grievance handling procedures.

IP Addresses

B-Tribe web servers collect your IP address to assist us maintain the quality of the services provided and to be able to diagnose any problems with the system. The information collected is aggregate only and cannot be associated with your private information.

Cookies

The use of cookies is a tool to improve your access to the website, and sometimes a requirement to access specific sections of the same. Although you can change your web browser configuration in order to block cookies, it is not a recommended practice as it may restrict your access to our services.

B-Tribe will never sell, hire or distribute any information to third parties which are not involved in the system unless there is an affirmative consent from the user.

Access to Private Information

You are able to access and modify your private information at any time (unless the website is out of service). We encourage our users to frequently update and maintain their personal information. If you are having any problems with editions and updates, send an email to our support team.

Information Security

Your login username and password are unique and will not be distributed to any other party. B-Tribe will confirm your username and password via email upon registration; it is your responsibility to keep it from others. We will not allow access to your details by third parties unless your explicit authorisation is given.

Public Information

Any information posted in a Forum or web resource is regarded as public information. Although B-Tribe strives to maintain the security of your personal information, we cannot protect it when placed in a public environment (bulletin board).

Communications

All written communications between users and B-Tribe will be recorded for the purposes of providing end-user support and improving service quality. This information will only be accessed by our support team and only be used for the purposes of improving your use of the system.

Email Communications

By registering with B-Tribe (including the Business Mastery Program and Inner Tribe Membership) you will receive emails with content and information relevant to your subscription. Your name and email will be used for the delivery of this information. You can automatically unsubscribe from our email list using links provided within each email, or by contacting us.

B-Tribe may also contact you for administrative purposes, such as problems with your personal information, account details or other issues relating to the provision of our services. We will never contact you by email for the purposes of obtaining financial information (such as bank details or credit card numbers).

When a payment is processed and declined for any reason, we will inform you via email. However, if you need to update your payment details, please do not do so via email. Members have the option to 1/ change their details securely via their Profile (must be logged-in), or 2/ contact our support team during business hours on (07) 3112 2065 to update details via the phone.

Telephone Communications

The B-Tribe support team may contact users to help with problems they may encounter from time to time. We advise you not to provide your password during telephone communications.

Feedback

B-Tribe encourages users to provide feedback about our website and services. All enquiries will be carefully considered and responded to by our customer support team (along with any actions it may require).

Advertising and Third-Party Information

The website may contain advertising and other type of information about third-party companies. Usually, the information will be linked to their website with the purpose of providing convenience to our users. B-Tribe is not responsible for the information provided by these companies, whether in our website or theirs.

Nevertheless, B-Tribe will review relevant information before publishing any details on the website. This process will occur in order to protect our users from viewing any type of inappropriate content.

Updates

The website content may be updated at any time. In the case of a major change, users will be provided with a notice either by email or through the website. Any changes to this Privacy Content or the Terms and Conditions will be updated on the website (we advise our users to periodically check the contents for any changes).
